Incredulously, during one of his mom’s visits 19 years after he had first gone comatose, his nurse asked him “Who’s that old lady?” And to their utter and sheer delight, Terry surprised them by saying, “Mom.” No one could believe what had happened and Terry would end up becoming national news due to his miraculous awakening. He is still a quadriplegic but he now has a voice and knows exactly how to use it.
