Though many people would consider themselves stand-out citizens, it’s a fact that the majority still lie. Whether telling a tale to protect a loved one or lying outright to avoid an awkward situation, many of the fibs that are told are done so subconsciously. This is because society has conditioned individuals to believe that the truth in many instances is too harsh or rude when stated outright.
However, have you ever considered how different the world would be if people felt compelled, to tell the truth? It is likely drama in relationships would decrease and as a result, so would emotional distress. The topic is a controversial one, that’s for sure.
