American former cyclist, Lance Armstrong, was an inspiration to all, following his miraculous and successful comeback to cycling following his victory over a potentially-deadly metastatic testicular cancer that he battled between 1996 and 1998.

He went on to win 7 Tour de France titles beginning in 1999 but was later on stripped of all his achievements following a 2012 investigation by the USADA on his suspected use of performance-enhancing drugs.

Armstrong chose not to contest the findings and subsequently received a lifetime ban from all sports regulated by the World Anti-Doping Code, ending his career in competitive sports.
