Benefit Cosmetics Signs Up Young British Woman With Down Syndrome To Be The New Face Of Their Cosmetic Line

While society still has a long way to go on changing the realistic standards ‘beauty’ has been portrayed on television and social media, there have already been some well-known fashion and beauty companies who have started this trend and changed their perception and representation of beauty.

Benefit Cosmetics, known for it’s wonderful line of make-up and beauty products has chosen a woman with Down Syndrome to be one of their faces in a marketing campaign, as well as their whole brand.


20-year-old Kate Grant has always dreamed of having a career in the beauty industry ever since she was little. She had her first bit of modelling experience when she won the crown of Teen Ultimate Beauty of the World Pageant in her country, the United Kingdom, and also made an appearance on national television’s ‘This Morning’ program last year.

As one of Benefit’s new faces, Kate will be featured in promotional materials as well as Instagram posts.


U.S.-owned Benefit Cosmetics didn’t think twice to sign her up after they had seen how much of a kind and beautiful woman Kate is, that she was just filled with radiance. Kate has been the face to promote the new line of roller eye products. This make-up brand is available worldwide, selling their line to over 2,000 different stores.

Kate’s role as one of the ambassadors of Benefit has become viral on the internet. The original post found on Instagram received thousands of likes and positive and supportive comments from followers.
