The crew was fascinated as they watched the pumice stone quickly become denser, and even sailed through it, leaving a trail behind them in the “sand.”

The expanse of surface area covered in pumice grew into a miles wide shoreline of stone. Just as quickly as they entered the area, they recognized that the stone posed a threat to their boat. While the pumice looked beautiful from above, it was slowly killing the yacht by obstructing their water filter.
