Doubtful that it was true

It was one of the many great stories from the war that 14-year-old Daniel Kristiansen’s great-grandfather told their family. Some of the stories he’d told were, of course, true, but the one about the downed German plane kept his children and grandchildren wondering if it indeed happened.

A quest to find a piece of history

But then, an opportunity to prove if that bit of family history was true presented itself when Daniel’s class teacher assigned him a project that had to do with World War II. So, he and his dad, Klaus, set out to find out once and for all if the “legendary” German fighter plane had, indeed, crashed into their farm.
