Cats naturally love to climb and they enjoy staying in high places while watching the world go by. In their homes, whether it be at the top of the bookshelf or refrigerator, kittens gain comfort in being in higher areas while keeping an eye on their surroundings and masters below them with a calm confidence.

Just recently, Rob Coutu who lives in Windsor, Connecticut decided to be creative and built a new house made to of two epic towers for his cats. Coutu has two cats, a red tabby and a Savannah. He mentioned that the Savannah loves the towers so much that she has completely taken over and even refused to let the tabby use them.

His idea came to him when he saw that another pet owner made a home out of a real tree for their cat. But the BIM manager figured he would return to his roots and decided to design one that he knew would be practical and fun at the same time, yet looking impressive for cats and their hoomans as well.

Coutu explained that, “the larger tower was built last and is almost complete. It incorporates some design changes based on how the cats interacted with the first one, such as the balconies and the deck landings. The dormer came from Zach, the Savannah, always looking up inside the roof of the other one.”

The cat lover said that the total costs of the project is still ongoing, but he has currently spent around $3,500, not to forget the labor that he inputted without any cost. But everything is worth it, Coutu said.

“Zach has been very involved from the start. I can’t even find a word that best describes how much he loves it and how much he uses it.”
