Chris Evans, along with Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, and Scarlett Johansson, is but one superhero actor who isn’t afraid to speak out about important issues in real-life. Not only has offered his insight on LGBTQ+ acceptance, he’s used his platform to fight racism in public and on Twitter.
In fact, he recently got in a ‘fight’ on the social media platform with David Duke, a U.S. white supremacist and former Imperial Wizard of the Ku Klux Klan. Evans, who is best known for portraying Steve Rogers in Captain Amerca, started the banter by commenting on Duke’s support of the confirmation of Attorney General Jeff Sessions.
If David Duke….DAVID!…DUKE!… thinks you're right, then you are unequivocally wrong. The confirmation of @jeffsessions is beyond words. https://t.co/CuLUznwO6S

The former KKK member wasn’t a fan of Evans’ comment, which is why he directed a series of tweets against the actor. In addition to accusing him of being a “dumb actor”, Duke stated that Evans supports “Jewish extremists.”
Typical dumb actor – if everything I say is wrong, then when I say I oppose these Zionists wars, you must be for them, Captain America!? https://t.co/fsxQHgzdWD

To that, Chris had the best reply:
well if these nuggets of bigotry are some of your OTHER thoughts, then I stand by my original tweet https://t.co/YSrOCDuyBw

Last Sunday, Duke decided to cherry-pick a few photos of Evans with non-Caucasian women and assert that the activist hates white women. As BuzzFeed points out, Captain America was created by two Jewish writers, Jack Kirby and Joe Simon.

Captain America @ChrisEvans inspires the "Theoretical Marxist" in all of us. pic.twitter.com/tev61mVILj

To this, Evans responded:
I don't hate them. That's YOUR method. I love. Try it. It's stronger than hate. It unites us. I promise it's in you under the anger and fear https://t.co/RGnH4rrblq

Unsurprisingly, the internet is even more in love with Chris Evans than before:
