The Bad Things They See

Ask some of the aftermath cleaners and they can tell you their worst experience. However, they don’t often deal with the dead body itself. Still, they may see remnants of a bone, a nail, or even a portion of a skull, especially when gunshots were involved in the death. But while they don’t deal with the cadaver itself, they do come across extremely nauseating scenes.

Dirty Work

One cleaner, in fact, had to clean up after an unattended death in a tiny trailer where the body wasn’t discovered until two months after the fact. There were maggots everywhere and he had to clean up the terrible mess left by the victim. He had to scrape off flesh that was dripping while making sure that traces of bodily fluids were wiped clean.
