An Amazing Stronghold

Hitler made sure that when the underground fort was built, that it was going to be one that was completely impenetrable. Aside from the difficulty of getting inside or just finding the location or entrance, and how deep below the ground it was built, it was a true fortress. It was strongly constructed inside and out. They knew they needed something to keep them safe from their enemies.

It Wasn’t The Only One

Apparently, Hitler had a number of bunkers in a variety of places around Europe. One of his better-known ones was called the Wolf’s Lair, which was located in Berlin, Germany. Although at the time it was very top secret, its location was eventually discovered and there was an assassination attempt on Hitler’s life at that particular bunker on July 20, 1944. He was not killed at that time.
