A heart-broken father

Even the real-life Terry’s father was devastated when Richard used his son’s identity to carry out his crime. However, because Richard is charged for the fraud he committed, for Terry’s father, justice has been served.

A lingering mystery

Despite his arrest, the mystery of why Richard took off and disappeared for 23 years is still a mystery. The authorities couldn’t get him to talk and they were unsuccessful in obtaining any explanation for his disappearance. He also gave no explanation for his financial woes which led him to nearly max out 26 credit cards and fake Linda’s signature to secure a loan.
