Before being known as Reese Witherspoon’s ex-husband, Ryan Philippe had been a hit on daytime drama, One Life to Live. Philippe was tasked to play the first gay teenager on a soap for a year, something that was considered new for daytime television. He managed to bag loads of other great roles after that, with Sebastian Valmont in Cruel Intentions probably being the most famous one.
