Amazingly, 29 days from the time that she was taken, she was left alone for the very first time by her 3 captors. The men had said they were headed out to get food and that they would take about an hour. Smartly, and more so bravely, she used this time to make her grand getaway. She managed to muster up enough courage to leave the house and go looking for help.
