Kindness knows no boundaries. A homeless man with worn out and dilapidated shoes was shocked when a policeman offered him the shoes he was wearing.
Officer Brian Zagorski of the Niles Police Department in Illinois, saw the homeless man walking down the street and trip over his very worn-out shoes. He immediately approached the man to see what help he could offer.
He asked the homeless man if he could use some toiletries and supplies courtesy of a community assistance program sponsored by the police department, but the man turned down the offer.

Seeing that they had, as fate would have it, the same size of footwear, officer Zagorski immediately took off his own shoes and gave it to the homeless man as a gift. The look of the homeless man was priceless.
The officer continued talking to the man as he was putting on his new shoes, he wanted to make sure the homeless man didn’t need further assistance. The man just smiled and walked away in his new, sturdy shoes, happy as can be.
To quote officer Zagorski on WGN-TV, “ I was happy , I made a difference and that’s essentially what we sign up to do…is to make a difference”.
The officer has not seen the homeless man again, but keeps a look-out in case he may appear again and need help with anything else. Now that’s what policemen should be known for.
