Performance and reputation have a price, and so does the Shelby GT350 R, which comes in at almost $75,000. The race-ready muscle car boasts of a 5.2-liter, naturally aspirated V8 codenamed Voodoo, which makes 526 horsepower and 429 lb-ft of torque. Ford went to great lengths to shave off weight while plugging in carbon fiber wheels, a larger front splitter and rear wing, a new steering rack with a reconfigured electric power steering control, along with a redesigned front suspension geometry and a high-trail steering knuckle that is said to have come from the GT500. All in all, it makes for much better handling and better overall performance on the track.
