Moving On

In the 34 years that passed, Carl had remarried twice. He was able to move on and start anew. Debra’s family, on the other hand, have been unable to get past the trauma. They’ve moved on with their lives never got over the harrowing experience. But as they say, no one can ever get over losing a loved one.

The Fight Doesn’t End

Though Carl has been held behind bars, he hasn’t stopped fighting for his freedom. He stands by his innocence. His attorney, McInroy, promises that he will not give up. “I have to approach this like an archaeologist or an anthropologist and try to piece together what’s left of the evidence and what’s left of people’s memories and from that formulate a credible defense,” he promises. And while he’s been trying to fulfill his promise, Carl sits and waits until the law sees what’s fit as punishment.
