Carl sought out a lawyer to defend him as well. Geoffrey McInroy, his attorney, stated that the evidence stacked against Carl was nothing but circumstantial. “Here we are looking at bits and pieces that even the commonwealth had difficulty assembling,” he had said. “ It is my position that those same facts fit together to tell a different narrative,” he continued.
What Carl Was Feeling

When interviewed, Carl was clearly shocked with his arrest. According to him, he had suffered when he discovered his wife was murdered, and her death had haunted him in the years that followed. For him, they caught the wrong person. Unfortunately, the law didn’t agree with him.
