Flip on your local news station in the morning, and you’re likely to be bombarded with all the negative happenings of the world. Regardless of the fact that plenty of positive events are taking place, too, mainstream media tends only to relay the gripping stories which inspire fear and anger in the public, as the music and news industry is predominantly controlled by corporations with their own agenda(s).
One ‘news reporter’, however, (who is actually a British YouTube star who is very good at acting like a pissed off television journalist) finally became furious enough to relay the news as it is.
If every reporter shared current events in a satirical and truthful manner, their recitation might sound similar to what was angrily spouted by Jonathan Pie.
“Muslims are bad, China is bad – though not as bad as it used to be, and Russia is always bad. Nuclear weapons are good, and to suggest not to use nuclear weapons is bad.
On to the economy! Debt is good. Corrupt banks are bad – but not bad enough for us to do anything about. And poverty in the UK is a figment of your imagination!
[Concerning] environmental news, there’s nothing to worry about, so please carry on consuming at the usual rate.”
Here’s one activist not afraid to ruffle a few feathers with the truth.
