Pregnant women look forward to the very day they get to meet their baby. These new moms often look at their infants with love and pride in their eyes. Ask any one who has been through the experience, and they’ll tell you that the person that just came out from their womb is one of the most beautiful creatures they’ve seen. It is truly a sight to behold. Unfortunately, not every one of these new souls gets to be lucky. Robert Hoge was one of them. When he came into this world, his mother wanted nothing to do with him. He was born with a deformity, and one would think that this experience alone would destroy the man.
Well, he’s here to show everyone that he came out of it better and stronger than ever with a wonderful story to tell.
The Beginning
Mary and Vince Hoge were already expecting their fifth baby. It was in Brisbane in 1972, and prenatal scans weren’t common practice yet. In fact, the technology wasn’t even available back then. Nonetheless, this was number five for the couple, which meant that they were already familiar with the procedure. A baby would come and they would be over the moon with happiness. At least they thought so.
