Here’s some good news to put a positive spin on your day. Over the weekend, Mitchel Craddock and his best friends were celebrating his bachelor party at a Tennessee cabin in the woods when a dog showed up on the front porch. The hungry pooch, which they named Annie, was malnourished and was obviously drawn toward the smell of bacon.

The men could discern that Annie had recently given birth to puppies and was having difficulty creating enough milk, so they followed her through the woods until they found… a litter of seven puppies!

As Love Meow reports, the puppies were covered in dirt, were ridden with fleas, and were hidden from predators in a hole in the ground. From that point, the men decided to make the weekend about the young dogs. They used the money intended for liquor to wash the animals and purchase them supplies. Because there were 8 men and 8 dogs (one mom and 7 puppies), each of the group members decided to adopt a dog!

Fortunately, Annie gets to see her puppies – named Knox, Bear, Daisy, Gunner, Brimmy, Finn, and Rose – often,  as all of the men live within a five-mile radius of each other.
