Impressive in its size and gait, the Dogo Argentino makes its presence known in stature alone. This dynamic dog requires a lot of outdoor exercise, and an owner who is willing to take charge. Because of it’s forceful stance, the Dogo can look very intimidating, making it a very good guard dog. Again, because it is so excitable, it can also become quite combative towards fellow canines or even other animals. Unfortunately for this type of dog, it was mainly bred in Argentina to be used for big-game hunting, and because of this, it is illegal to own one in the UK.
