8. Izu Isands (Japan)

Consisting of two towns and six villages, Izu Island is a volcanic island filled with poisonous sulfur in the air. All the residents have to permanently wear a mask to avoid contamination by the toxins.

The island is reported to have several paranormal activities. It is a tiny island located between Lido and Venice of Northern Italy. The island is also reported to have black pits where the victims of Black Death were buried. According to an estimate, over 100,000 people have died here.
