Volcano Set To Join The Sea

Mount Etna, located in Sicily, Italy is one of the largest and most active volcanoes in the planet, with measurements of almost 3 kilometers in height and over 50 kilometers wide at the base. Seen above is Etna’s eruption in June of 2001, sending bubbles of hot magma, some measuring over one meter across. Research has shown that the volcano is being pulled by gravity towards the sea, and may result to a catastrophic collapse should it happen in the future.
