Marshmallows In The Sky

Mammatus clouds are rare pouch-like clouds hanging from the undersides of clouds and are formed under very specific atmospheric conditions. They are composed mostly of ice and can be seen for hundreds of miles in any direction and although quite ominous in appearance, these clouds are harmless and doesn’t signal a coming tornado. However, these clouds were seen just before a few hailstorms, such as the one in Norfolk, Nebraska.
