Fountains of Plasma Rain

Pictured above is a giant fountain of plasma rain playing in the sun’s atmosphere. These fountains measure about 500 times larger than our planet, and is part of the stellar-tantrum cycle that happens every 11 years or so, sending out a massive magnetic field that affects the Earth’s power grid. The end of each cycle also brings about magnetic field collisions that result in enormous tsunamis of plasma charging across the surface of the sun.
