According to her uncle, Jeff, Crystal had been living with her ex-husband at the time because she was doing renovations to her own house. He also shared with CBS News that he found it strange that Crystal hadn’t mentioned to him that she was planning on going to Dallas to take shelter from the storm when she knew that he was. In fact, he was skeptical of Steven’s explanation and didn’t quite believe him.
