Could This Finally Be It?

It would seem that their informant had given them the right location, because when they got there, they found buried bones. Natalee’s father Dave continues, “When we determined these remains were human, I was shocked. I know there’s a possibility this could be someone else, and I’m just trying to wait and see.” Renowned Forensic Laboratory Director of the D.C. Department of Forensic Sciences, Dr. Jason Kolowski, is now testing to see if the skeletal remains do, in fact, belong to Natalee.

Hoping For The Best

According to Dr. Kolowski, so far they have been able to determine that, “They [the bones] are human, and they are of Caucasian, European descent,” which means that there is a high percentage that they could truly belong to Natalee. To aid in the investigation, Beth also gave a DNA sample for forensics to compare the remains to. Unfortunately, they won’t be able to tell if they are female just yet because the test that needs to be done takes much longer. Still, the findings so far already feel promising.
