Nurse Alex Wubbels has made international news, and not because of her post-Olympian past. While on the job at the University of Utah Hospital, she was not only mishandled by a Utah Police Officer, but she was even arrested when all she was trying to do was follow hospital protocol. Strangely, the only time that the authorities decided to question the actual officer involved, was when the video of Officer Payne arresting Nurse Wubbels went viral.

Nurse Alex Wubbels
Nurse Alex Wubbels was a 2-time National Alpine skier, who competed in the 1998 and 2002 Winter Olympics. After her pro-skiing career was done, she went on to become a nurse and worked for the University Hospital of Utah located in Salt Lake City. She was working on July 26 when a badly burned and injured man was brought into the burn unit of the hospital she was working in.
