When questioned about the events, later on, Wubbels shared with the Today Show that she couldn’t understand why Payne was so upset about her refusal to draw Gray’s blood. She says, “I personally didn’t think there was any sense of urgency. I would have liked for a chance for him to sort of talk with one of his superiors prior to doing what he did to me. I don’t know what his problem was, if you will.”

Being Placed In The Police Car

It was said that Nurse Wubbels was forced to remain inside the police car for around 20 minutes while police were sorting everything out. Apparently, blood from Officer Gray had already been taken as part of his treatment, and therefore things shouldn’t have escalated the way they did. The Police officers eventually let Wubbels go with no charges.
