A beloved teacher and friend to many, who was also apparently 4 months pregnant, was found dead in a ditch just a few days before she was supposed to start a brand new school year. Her family, friends and boyfriend scrambled to find out any news about what may have happened to her during the days before she died. Her boyfriend had pleaded with the public, asking for help or for any clues that may possibly lead them to her whereabouts.

Laura Wallen was a 31-year old high school teacher who hailed from Olney, Maryland. She was one of the daughters of Gwen and Mark Wallen, and she was loved dearly by everyone in her family. She was also quite a popular social studies teacher at Wilde Lake High School, and she was ready to start a brand new school year.
