Love At First Sight

According to Alex, he mustered up the courage to go and talk to her that night. He shared, “I plucked up some courage and went over to her and said, ‘I’m sorry, but you’re the most gorgeous girl I’ve ever seen.’ She turned around and looked at me and said, ‘My God, so are you’.” And it would seem that their first encounter would be all that it would take for them to know they wanted to be together forever. Alex even called it “love at first sight.”

Getting Married

It would only be around 5 months from the night they had met to the day that the two would wed. Anna had gone back to Russia, and Alex had followed and proposed, and the two wed secretly at the Moscow Registry Office in March of 2002. In a simple and very nondescript way, they vowed to love each other forever, him in a rented dinner suit and she in the same white dress she was wearing on the night they had first met. It all felt very romantic at the time, but things would slowly begin to change.
