In just a span of 24 hours, a website called www.findbrooke.com was created. Anyone who used it could download and translate it into a number of different languages. On the first day, it was up, the site had over 26,000 users. Apparently, Brooke’s story had spread all over the country with thousands of people wanting to know what happened to Brooke Wilberger.

The police originally began looking into suspect Sung Koo Kim. He was a person of interest because he had prior cases for burglary and theft on college campuses. Apparently, Kim had a penchant for ladies underwear and was said to have stolen hundreds of pieces of lingerie from student dorms. He was eventually put in jail, but not because of Wilberger. He served 7 years for his burglary and theft crimes, but unfortunately, they had nothing to do with Brooke.
