A Weekend Away

On the weekend before January 24, 2006, Jennifer went on vacation to Saint Croix in the U.S. Virgin Islands with her boyfriend. Rob Allen lived in Ft. Lauderdale, and so Jennifer had decided to go straight from his apartment to her office on that Monday morning after getting back, driving 3 hours to get there. After work, she went home straight home to her apartment, still tired from the weekend spent away from home, and the long drive back.

Didn’t Make It To Work

The next day, Jennifer didn’t show up for work. One of her family friends who also worked at the same place and called her parents to ask where she was. She said, “Did something happen to Jennifer? She didn’t make it to work. Is she sick?” Her father decided to call her cell phone and it went directly to voicemail, something that her dad said never happens.
