Perhaps it was the way he carried himself. Or, maybe it was just how he seemed so quiet and unassuming. Day after day, cadets of the Air Force Academy would simply walk by William “Bill” Crawford. Some would say a quick hello while others would simply rush to their next assignment. He was always there, cleaning the halls, but little did they know that this humble old man did something spectacular 30 years before.
That is, until one man discovered his secret and realized that there was more to Bill than met the eye and that you definitely shouldn’t judge a book by its cover.
The Quiet Man
Crawford was a native in Colorado and was born in 1918. Those who knew him described him as selfless. He was always devoted to helping others since he was exposed to the war-stricken world that needed all the assistance it could get. He even learned then to keep to himself and be humble, no matter what he has achieved.
