Bella Vista

This neighborhood in the South Philadelphia section is mostly known for the historic Italian market along 9th street, and Washington Avenue. These corridors are filled with restaurants, groceries, bars, and cafes, as the Italian Market is considered the oldest open-air market in the country. It is affordable and safe to live in, which makes it popular for families and young professionals. It has a lot of parks and schools, including the Julia R. Masterman Secondary Schoold, Science Leadership Academy, and George W. Nebinger School, among others.
