John Christie has been in and out of prison for theft and assault before turning into a serial killer in 1943, while still living with his wife, Ethel Waddington. He killed at least eight people, including his wife, with most of his victims prostitutes, who he also raped. Though his IQ is just higher than average at 128, he was cunning enough to successfully frame the husband and father of his two victims, who got hanged to death. He also managed to bury his victims in the back garden without his wife’s knowledge, and who eventually ended up under the floorboards. He masked the stench of the house with strong disinfectants but eventually had to move out. The bodies were soon discovered, and a manhunt ensued, leading to Christie’s arrest. He was hanged in 1953 at the Pentonville Prison in London.
