One of the most infamous serial killers in the U.S., Ted Bundy has been the subject of several books and movies depicting his story. With an IQ of 136, he was smart enough to earn a degree in psychology and get accepted to law school. He even acted as his own lawyer for his trial in 1977, during which he made his first escape. He was recaptured shortly after but made another escape, dropping 30 pounds to fit in a hole he made in his cell. He would claim another three victims before getting caught again. He confessed to killing 36 women, often raping them first, though it was believed that his victims could be way more than this as a lot of women went missing in the Seattle and Oregon area during Bundy’s reign of terror. He was executed by electric chair in 1989 at the Florida State Prison.
