21. Bright Lights Over New Jersey
Motorists on the New Jersey Turnpike were mesmerized by what appeared to be strange, orange-yellow lights that appeared in the sky shortly after midnight on July 14, 2001. Drivers pulled over to stop at the side of the road to watch the 15 minute light show, consisting of brightly colored lights forming a V-pattern over the Arthur Kill Waterway between Staten Island, New York and Cateret, New Jersey.
No planes were said to have been flying in the area at the said date but according to a group called the New York Strange Phenomena Investigators, FAA radar data from that night which they have in their possession, corroborated the UFO sightings.
