Not too long ago the term billionaire was just a dream for rich people. But according to the 2019 FORBES list of the planet’s billionaires, there are now over 2,000 people in the elite fortunes list. And that list is not completely accurate, a lot of billionaires keep their riches a secret, especially if they are dictators of a country, drug cartel members, or other scoundrels who made their fortune illegally. Of the 2,000 or so billionaires, only around 13 (sometimes some drop off the list with current issues regarding their wealth) are black. And only 3 are women, which includes media mogul Oprah Winfrey, who is also one of the only 4 black Americans to made the list.
