Forever Generous

She never forgot where she came from, and devoted time to help worthy causes to alleviate poverty and other social problems. In 2004, she became the first black person to rank among the 50 most generous Americans. Eventually she was ranked as the greatest black philanthropist in American history. By 2012, she had given more than $400 million to educational causes. Since then, she has involved herself with a multitude of other charitable ventures, including the creation of Oprah’s Angel Network, a charity that supported charitable projects and provided grants to non-profit organizations around the world.
