She is Nigeria’s first female billionaire, and the founder of Famfa Oil, which is a company that owns a large participating interest in a lucrative oil block on the Agbami deep-water oilfield in Nigeria. She started her career working as a secretary in a Nigerian merchant bank in the 1970s. She decided to quit and study fashion design in England. When she returned to her homeland, she founded a Nigerian fashion label that catered to upscale clientele.
