Be Afraid of Language Barrier
Most greeks under 40 will be able to communicate in English…having learned English starting in the 3rd grade…some even speak other foreign languages. This is especially true in locations favored by tourists. It would help a lot if you try to learn a few important phrases in Greek, in case you are speaking to the older generation or are in remote areas tourists do not frequent.
