Never Dis The Austrian Schnitzel
If you thought that the weiner schnitzel originated from Germany, sorry to say but you would be wrong. Not only is it from Austria, the locals are very proud of their gastronomic feats, as they very well should be. But even if veal isn’t exactly your cup of tea, then go ahead and try other local dishes like the Apfelstrudel, which is basically an apple strudel. Or perhaps you can order the Spragel, which is the most scrumptious white asparagus you’ll ever try, or if you’re more of a sweet tooth, then try the Sachertorte, a popular chocolate sponge cake served with apricot jam. Better yet, just try it all so that you can home with zero regrets.
