5. Nikki Catsouras Car Crash
In 2006, a horrific car crash in Lake Forest, California killed then 18-year old Nikki Catsouras who lost control of her dad’s sports car at high speed, crashing it into a toll booth. The resulting wreck was too gruesome that even the victim’s parents were prevented to identify her remains. As part of the investigation, photos of the carnage were taken as evidence, none of which were supposed to be seen by the public, until California Highway Patrol Officers leaked them to their friends.
Copies of the horrifying photos began appearing online and despite the family trying their best to remove them from the net, those images still haunt the web.
