6. Pepper + Brain

Convicted sex offenders in the United States are registered in a public listing which aims to prevent them from committing the same crimes and to warn the public to be cautious when dealing with these personalities. In Ohio, one particular sex offender, Brian Peppers, was registered in the state’s Sex Offender Registration and Notification system after being convicted for “Gross Sexual Imposition,” using a photograph of him taken in 1998. As horrible as the crime itself was, it is Peppers’ photo that people find disturbing, marked by genetic malformations of his skull and face, described to be super bloated and gray.
