Do not forget to check out the Denver Zoo, an 80-acre facility located in City Park of Denver. It boasts of housing a little over 4000 animals and is the most popular paid attraction in the Denver metropolitan area. It opened in 1896 and is funded in part by the Scientific and Cultural Facilities District.
