Given its location on the globe, Hong Kong gets hit with quite a number of typhoons throughout the year, especially during monsoon season. When there are mega typhoons, the entire city shuts down, and you seriously won’t be able to do anything. So don’t visit during typhoon season when there’s a higher chance of heavy rain that can ruin your entire trip.
