Don’t Stand On The Left

People from Hong Kong move at a furious pace, regardless of what they are doing. They talk fast, work fast, heck they even walk fast. So if you happen to be on an escalator, don’t stand on the left. People are constantly moving and they expect that anyone on the left side will be walking so that they too, can be well on their way. If you surprisingly aren’t rushing through the throngs of people on an escalator in Hong Kong, remember to stand on the right, unless you don’t mind getting loads of dirty looks.
