Don’t Bother With Pleasantries

Like how they don’t say “please” and “thank you,” Danes also don’t really bother with other types of pleasantries. While it is incredibly normal for others to ask “How are you?” but not really stopping to hear an actual answer, the Danish find this act rather comical. And since they don’t generally enjoy small talk, they’d rather you don’t ask unless you’d truly like to know. If that’s the case, be sure to sit down and really listen to what they have to say.
