Animals have surprised us in more ways than one with their curious personalities and characteristics. None of them are ever the same which brings us to think… Is there anything else they can do that we’ve never seen? The answer is yes when you meet this dog!
Today, we will talk about our fellow furry friend that was probably reincarnated from being a traffic officer in his past life. Here is Kupata, a dog from Georgia who is now a local celebrity by assisting children to safely cross the road.

The video was filmed by Bega Tsinadze in the town of Batumi, Georgia. Here, it shows the group of young children waiting for all the cars to stop so that they could cross the road. Suddenly, a dog comes to their rescue to stop traffic and give the kids a chance to cross safely! And guess what, Kupata does this everyday! He is practically a full-time traffic officer that helps kids cross the road to get to the park.
According to some sources that would like to keep their anonymity, they say he might be the best traffic officer there is. A local resident shared with The Dodo that “Kupata gets angry when a car crosses by every time. He takes his job very seriously. And sometimes he waits for children for one hour, to make sure that they feel safe in the park and they cross the street safely.”
No one knows the reason behind Kupata choosing this career, but it’s totally awesome that he did! Kupata was actually a stray dog before he arrived here, and now the locals make sure to take care of him themselves. All his voluntary work for the children of the neighborhood might be his way of expressing gratitude to all the community members who have helped him when he had no place to call home.
“I’m sure that he thinks that taking care of children and taking care of our street is his job. Kupata shows us that even dogs can be very responsible and very loyal,” a local resident shared with The Dodo.
Recently, the Adjara Tourism Department honored Kupata by gifting him his very own doghouse. The doghouse is emblazoned with a “People’s Choice” star with his name written on it! He was also painted on the wall of one of the buildings in Batumi. You can’t deny that Kupata has become a local celebrity in his town.
This dog is loved be anyone and everyone that he even has his own Instagram and Facebook accounts! Just like the rest of us, after a long day’s work, Kupata loves enjoying the finer things in life by taking a relaxing break and just chilling out.
